The John Wayne of NASA

This is undoubtedly one of the more badass presentations I've watched on TED. I love how Bill Stone, at the end of his presentation, slams his stake in the ground, puts up the most badass quote ever on the projection screen and then walks off the stage to a loud standing ovation of new disciples who would follow him to the most dangerous places on earth and space. And not once, did he acknowledge their thundering applause.

After all, he doesn't care about adulation. He doesn't need it. He's the John Wayne of NASA.
